One more day to go and Christmas is here and that’s why we decided to show you our favorite Scapa items.
For everyone who feels like shopping and wants to look classy during the holidays - make sure to stop at Scapa . The winter collection has 3 themes, but today we´re highlighting the theme Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner. Based on the movie Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner from 1976, with Katharine Hepburn, Spencer Tracy and Sidney Poitier.
The collection has a lot of light gray in the women’s line; coats with gold buttons inspired on the military style and luxurious details like fur collars. These are worn with big, rich style ponchos in brown or beige, with stripes or a jacquard motif . For cocktail parties there are feminine black dresses and navy dresses in jersey.
For the men’s collection Scapa chose navy, gray and camel colors for their woolen 2- or 3- piece suits. The suits silhouette is chic, sleek and modern. The suits and jackets are unlined, which make them a flexible fit with a comfortable feel.

Have a good weekend and Merry Christmas.

UNHATE DOVE for Tripoli
COLORS, the magazine “that talks about the rest of the world” will donate the UNHATE DOVE (an art installation made by Fabrica) to Tripoli, Libya tomorrow on Saturday 24 December 2011. This is their Independence Day, which the Libyan people are celebrating again for the first time in 42 years.
COLORS magazine gives the UNHATE DOVE to the city of Tripoli as a sign of peace and hope. The large, dove-shaped sculpture is covered in over 15,000 bullet cases picked up in the world’s “hot spots”. They were mounted on to the dove in the University of Tripoli.

Work in progress
The bullet cases were collected by COLORS from the hands of children, from operating rooms in war-zone hospitals, from the mothers of young men killed during revolutions, from the victims of persecution. From people who live in areas where armed conflicts seem to run on endlessly.
Argentina
Palestine
This “war waste” is also the theme of WITH LOVE, a COLORS special issue telling the stories of imprisoned lives that do not have the freedom to choose on which side to stay. There are love stories, too, of those who hold out in order to defend life.
WITH LOVE is available in four bilingual editions: English + Italian, French, Spanish or Arabic. This issue will also be available in digital form to facilitate even wider circulation.

Friday must-see: Clarks & Project Catwalk exhibition
For this weekend we have a `must-see´ instead of a must-have.
As you might know already, Clarks was an official partner of the RTL-5 program Project Catwalk. And even though the program has ended, the collaboration hasn´t.
Jacob Kok was the winner of Project Catwalk. Early on in the show he made an outfit inspired on Clarks shoes and his winning design was inspired on the English countryside. Because of this, the Dutch Leather and Shoe Museum built a mini-exhibition around the winning outfit and the history of Clarks shoes.
The exhibition reflects the development of the English footwear company that exists since 1825. The exhibition includes famous Clarks models such as the Desert Boot and Lugger.
Sneek peak of the exhibition
The Clarks & Project Catwalk exhibition is until January 29, 2012.
Will you go and have a look at the exhibition?
Have a good weekend!

Party with New Yorker
As we´re getting closer towards the end of the year, it´s time to think about what to wear during all the upcoming parties.
One of best styles this season is the Dandy look, giving both men and women that extra something.
Sequins on blazers or waistcoat take care of the glam factor and are teamed up with gold-colored trousers, leather shorts, T-shirts with cheeky prints and boots. Shiny cocktail dresses and peep toe heels lend elegance and the famous little black dress is spiced up with a tie and socks in high heels.
And if that’s still too well-behaved, how about a lace dress and see-through blouse for maximum sexy-effect? The absolute must-have combining casual and cool in one is the trilby – setting off the Dandy look to perfection.
Classic men’s suits in grey, black or white are turned into real party pieces with highlights, such as red shoes or breast pocket handkerchiefs. But those who don’t see themselves as suit-wearers can confidently reach for a simple shirt and braces.

Felix Maginn awarded Best Dressed by Esquire
Last night Felix Maginn, singer/guitarist of the popband Moke, won the title of "best dressed man of 2011".
And as he is a true Clarks Originals ambassador who nearly always wears his Desert boots, we thought he deserved some extra attention.
Moke at the Clarks event earlier this year
The awards took place last night and were held by Dutch men's magazine Esquire. The jury chose Felix as winner due to his "international reputation".
As they stated "Maginn won because his style goes beyond the clothes he wears. It includes his haircut, but also the whole atmosphere that Moke has." The jury came to the decision together with 31,223 voters.
Congratulations Felix!
