Sisley art project curated by Glenn O´Brien

The American Glenn O'Brien, writer, journalist, dj, artist himself: has asked 17 contemporary artists, all belonging to the Pop Art movement and often disciples of Andy Warhol, to customize a Sisley leather jacket.

The jackets will be presented first in Milan (during the Milan Fashion Week Women), in a show and gala party, then will be exhibited at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh next October 2010. In November 2010 they will be auctioned online for the benefit of the Museum.

Daisy Kroon @ Warehouse N°133

Designers-United.com, together with the Rotterdam fashion designers Daisy Kroon and Charlotte Kan, organizes “Warehouse Nº 133". A minishop at the Meent in Rotterdam. Next to the collections of Daisy Kroon and Charlotte Kan selected items of Scandinavian and French labels will be sold even as fair-trade label Satara.

Visit Warehouse Nº 133 from July 31 until September 11, open from Wednesday until Sunday.

Dutch Patricia and Belgian Kevin for Benetton campaign

After being chosen as two of the 20 models for Benetton, out of more than 66.500 entries from all over the world, Dutch model Patricia Nooyen and Belgian competitor Kevin De Vuyst went to New York to shoot the AW10 United Colors of Benetton campaign.

Edwin Oudshoorn AW10 couture collection

Edwin Oudshoorn presented his AW10 couture collection on the 5th of July in the garden of Musée de la Vie Romantique in Paris.

The Dutch press and clients could admire his new collection on the 17th and 18th of July in a delightful and spacious rooftop apartment on the Amsterdam canals.



Edwin was inspired by a painting of Ary Scheffer, pinging for the heavens. A girl longing for heaven and walking the thin line between life and death.



"In the newspaper I regularly read about girls taking their lives - despite their beauty, talent or popularity - because they had the feeling they were not able to satisfy the expactations of the society", Edwin Oudshoorn says.

Dutch trade press journalist Martine Schlingmann (Fashion United): "Edwin Oudshoorn showed his collection without a show and models, but the presentation was very impressive. Fashion & Architecture exhibition @ ARCAM

Friday July 16, the opening of the Fashion & Architecture exhibition in ARCAM. ARCAM, Ontfront and V2A Architectuur & Stedebouw have challenged four duos, each comprising of a fashion designer and an architect, to make a design together.

The four duos:

Iris van Herpen & Jan Benthem and Mels Crouwel (Benthem Crouwel Architekten)
Farida Sedoc (Hosselaer) & Nicole and Marc Maurer (Maurer United)
Kentroy Yearwood (Intoxica) & Jeroen Bergsma (2012 Architecten)



Mattijs van Bergen made a sustainable design together with landscape architect Anouk Vogel. Their goal was to make an item not related to a season but adjustable to every season. Their design, a dress made of waterpipes, can be renewed by different flowers.





"In the beginning, I liked the speed of the succession of collections. You can renew yourself constantly. But you notice that people are increasingly looking for durability in clothing. They buy something to last", says Mattijs van Bergen.

It will also be the exclusive launch and preview of the DaisyKroonTestimonials. A small serie of portraits made in cooperation with Janneke Geertsma. They show you the story behind the designs, told by the owners.

Fratelli Rossetti presslunch 10 years Belgian boutique

Today the Never On Wednesday showroom in Antwerp was transformed into a cosy dining space in order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Fratelli Rossetti store in Brussels.

In the company of Diego Rossetti, we got to learn more about the special Elisa bag that was created for this occasion and is a special edition exclusive for Belgium. The company's icon bag will be available in a unique green version: each piece is numbered and 50% of the proceeds will be donated in part to Apeiron, ONLUS, a foundation that has been in Nepal since 1997 and that Fratelli Rossetti actively supports.






Apeiron's projects are directed mainly towards women, who are among the most vulnerable of the Nepalese society, not having basic rights, such as a guaranteed education.

The Elisa special edition for Apeiron will be available from October.
